The Riverside Opera Company is a Staten Island based not for profit arts organization founded in 1996 and has been consistently producing fully or semi-staged costumed and/or concert versions of musically diverse public programs with a professional orchestra ever since.

The ROC also provides FREE educational outreach and concert tickets to all students and children. Its current Artistic Director, Maestro Alan Aurelia, has conducted in Italy as well as in Carnegie Hall and seeks new talent by holding annual auditions. Some of its audition winners have gone on to sing at the Metropolitan Opera and make careers for themselves in Europe.

Join your hosts, Alison and Aaron Madill for a festive evening in this landmarked home from the 1730s and help keep the arts alive for the next generation!

Live Auditions will be held at St. Mark's Church in the Bowery in Manhattan on Sunday, September 22nd. Daniel will present Nessun Dorma and the brindisi from La Traviata and Roseanne and Galina will perform Tacea la notte placida, Stride la Vampa, O mio Babbino Caro, Habanera from Carmen, and more! All singers will be accompanied by a 54 piece orchestra conducted by Maestro Alan Aurelia with narration by Dr. Janet Norton.

The Riverside Opera Company, celebrating its 27th season on Staten Island, presents PoPera 2024 with an outdoor concert at the Garibaldi Meucci Museum featuring popular opera and Broadway selections. Featured artists Soprano Jacqueline Quirk, Mezzo Soprano Galina Ivannikova, and Baritone Jonathan Green will be accompanied by pianist Alla Milchtein. Gianna Warner and Jared Mischen will perform Broadway numbers. This program is made possible in part with public funds from the NYC dept. of Cultural Affairs and Ms. Nancy Trucco.
